The INTEGIRLS Math Competition consists of individual, team, and relay rounds along with fun STEM related activities for girls and non-binary individuals! All levels of math experience are welcome!
Our Math Competition isn't just about winning through equations and formulas; it's about building connections, engaging with peers, and celebrating the beauty of math. Our competition participants attend to join a wonderful community, and we're thrilled for YOU to become take part in this experience with us.
All you have to do is sign up, and INTEGIRLS will place you in a team of up to 4 people. If you already have a team, however, let us know who they are in the form!
This competition is designed for girls and non-binary individuals comfortable with being grouped with girls only. If you do not identify as either, you are more than welcome to volunteer and support us as a proctor. Please email us at iowa@integirls.org for inquiries. :)
This competition is in-person but is open to all female-identifying and non-binary students comfortable with being grouped with girls. If you do not fall under these requirements, please consider helping out as a volunteer! All competition participants and volunteers will receive certified service hours from the INTEGIRLS nonprofit.
You can register throught a google form here, preferably with a team, although we can help match you up with other incomplete teams.
The competition has two divisions:
Middle school: ≤8 grade
High school: 9-12th grade
There will be three rounds: individual, team, and relay. All rounds will be a combination of number theory, combinatorics, geometry, and algebra.
You do not need to stay for the entire duration of the competition! You may choose to participate in any combination of the rounds depending on when you’re available.
Individual Round: 15 questions to be solved in 45 minutes
Team Round: 12 problems to be solved in 40 minutes
Relay Round: 5-10 problems to be solved in 10 minutes
Starting the Spring 2025 season, we will be writing our own problems to ensure that they are suitable for all levels! Problem difficulty will range from middle school Mathcounts problems to early AMC 10/12.
